Melbourne, Victoria
The 71st Annual Conference of the Australasian Agricultural & Resource Economics Society (AARES 2027) will be held at Rydges, Melbourne, from the 3rd to 5th February 2027, with the theme “Seven Decades of Agriculture and Resource Economics: Lessons, Legacy and Futures”.
Pre-conference workshops will be held on 2nd February 2027 at La Trobe University (City Campus), Level 2 and Level 3, 360 Collins Street, Melbourne.
The conference invites domestic and international members, researchers, policymakers, and industry partners to look back on the field’s legacy, examine the current landscape, and explore futures shaped by climate change, geopolitical uncertainty, resource pressures, and emerging technologies. Together, we will consider how the discipline can continue to inform resilient, sustainable, and equitable food and resource systems.
Abstract submissions are managed through Oxford Abstracts. Authors are encouraged to review the submission guidelines and conference themes before commencing their submission. The online form will guide you through the required information, including author details and abstract content. Once submitted, abstracts will be reviewed by the conference scientific committee.
